Frequently Asked Questions
How are Return the Favor’s submissions reviewed?
For humans, by humans! Every RTF submission is reviewed by hand to ensure it aligns with our mission and guidelines. Our focus is on privacy compliance and appropriate language. Our goal is to keep this space safe, positive, and respectful while preserving the authenticity of each message.
Can I use the submission form to post jobs that federal workers can apply to?
RTF encourages federal workers and potential employers to explore dedicated job boards. Unfortunately, we are a small team and cannot manage job postings on this platform. That being said, we are happy to amplify access to job boards and resources. If you know of a good resource, please reach out to us on our Contact Us page!
Why can’t I include names or identifying information in my submissions?
For the safety of federal workers, we ask that all submissions remain anonymous. This helps protect those who may be facing uncertainty or job insecurity.
Will my submission be edited before being published?
Submissions will be reviewed for privacy, compliance with our ground rules, and clarity, but your story will remain in your own words!
Can I request to have a submission removed?
Absolutely! If you submit a message or story and change your mind, you can always send us a message on our Contact Us page. Additionally, if you see a message that poses a risk to you or others, please contact us, and we will promptly take it down.
